Even a Teacup

I am constantly told to not have feelings. Being cautious not to seem too sensitive, too demanding, or too needy.  You don’t want to be the psychotic girlfriend, the bipolar bestfriend, or the crazed cat lady. I am constantly hushed and quieted, Why care about everything so much? And even I question myself on why should I be passionate about everything?

Live deeper. See the bigger picture. Deeply invest, even if it means rejection. Feel everything. Whether it’s a picture or music or religion or even a tea cup on a kitchen floor, feel the life, the cause, the Passion.

Passion is life. Passion is drive. Passion is dreams. Passion is heart. Passion consumes ups, and causes downs. And it may be the deeper the passion the deeper the downs, but more importantly, the higher the ups. Passion is beautiful not because it’s controlled, but because it drives us without boundaries. It’s what opens us up to risks. It’s what makes us push our limits. It’s what challenges us to bend the boundaries, and not accept where we are at face value. It’s what inspires us to do the things that we label as impossible. It’s intercourse with us has borne the greatest and the worst: love and hate, success and failure, happiness and pain, even life and death. But that’s the beauty in passion. It makes us go beyond normal in the most unforgiving ways at times. But that’s the key to be extraordinary. Passion: the producer of the drive to go beyond what once was thought possible.
